We strive so that by calling on God, through Him we may become beings that are not alone, but with God. If we succeed in making space for God within ourselves, all the better for us, and for others!

That's where most of us get stuck - at least I do and many of the people I work with - thinking that God needs our thoughts and a "well-thought-out philosophy". I'm afraid we turn to thoughts to compensate for the missing "sigh from the depths of the heart".
St. Sofian, help our hearts to understand that God doesn't want a philosophical barrier between Him and us, but direct access to the depth of our hearts, where He resides.
