Mother Siluana: On the consequences of the fall of Adam and Eve on the feminine and masculine side
Excerpt from the book “Offering Ourselves, We Enter Into His Joy - Volume One” by Mother Siluana Vlad (available on Amazon as paperback and ebook):
Question:
What are the consequences of the fall of Adam and Eve on the feminine side and the masculine side? What are their specific infirmities and sins? What are their particular gifts?
What do every young man and young woman need to struggle with so that they can become new creatures, so that they can become what God wanted when He created them?

Mother Siluana:
Dear S.,
This is a profound and challenging question!
Thank you!
Lord, help me and enlighten me with a good answer!
When we read in Genesis about the fall of Man, we see that the woman let herself be tempted by the evil one, she desired that fruit, the creation, and she tempted man too. When God asked her why she did this, she didn't ask for forgiveness and she blamed God's creation; she blamed others.
And Adam? He didn't obey God's commandment, he fell into temptation, he desired the woman more than God, since he did her will and not God's will, he didn't ask for forgiveness, and he fell utterly when he blamed the woman! And so, the specifics of the fall: the man keeps blaming the woman, while the woman blames the devil or the various "fruit" forbidden by God for reasons known only to Him!
Therefore, the infirmity of the man is not to assume his responsibility by constantly blaming the woman, and the infirmity of the woman is not to assume her responsibility by blaming the devil! The man received the commandment to love his woman and blamed the woman for his refusal or powerlessness. The woman received the commandment to help the man by responding to his love, When, at the devil's suggestion, she took the initiative herself to "love", she then only managed to taste the fruit of passionate pleasure, followed by fall and pain!
The gift specific to man is the power to love like God, protecting and serving the one weaker than himself. And the gift of the woman is to be a helper to the man, responding to his love with an abundance of beauty and goodness. She brings the “surplus” - almost unnecessary biologically - created by the activity of the brain's right hemisphere, as someone said.
What do they each need to struggle with? The young man needs to leave his parents before fulfilling God's commandment of becoming one with his woman. This also means giving up all the forms of violence learned from his father and all the forms of pampering and protection learned from his mother! This way, he will neither be "the spitting image" of his father, nor will he seek in his woman a mother to pamper him and serve him, as the mother does to a baby from birth to age two!
The young woman needs to learn to wait for the lover ordained to her by God and to test him if he is mature and ready to love her as Christ loves His Church! Otherwise, she will repeat her family's "bad luck" and be unhappy, giving birth to and raising unhappy children.
Of course, each child receives the strength from God to break the accursed chain, to enter into the Blessing, and become a new being!
With love and respect, my dear child!
